Crime Stoppers Tasmania currently has a vacancy for a volunteer Board Director.

The volunteer role of director presents an exciting opportunity for a community member to contribute to the strategic direction, governance and financial viability of the organisation. As a director, you will be asked to:

  • Attend Board meetings every 6 weeks
  • Become a member of at least one sub-committee, and participate actively in its work.
  • Share the values of the organisation and commitment to creating a safer Tasmania
  • Have a willingness to invest in developing his/her own governance skills
  • Prepare for and participate in the discussions and deliberations of the Board
  • Support Crime Stoppers Tasmania wherever possible – fundraising and promotional events, community discussions, etc.

Appointed directors will need to complete a National Police Check and be willing to undertake some travel as part of the role.
Crime Stoppers Tasmania is looking for motivated people to become a part of our team. Preferences would be for those with a finance and/or marketing background and experience in board governance.
