Chairman: Mr David Daniels OAM
David represents Tasmania on the Crime Stoppers Australia Board. With a long-standing commitment to the organisation, he has served as the current Chair of Crime Stoppers Tasmania since 2018. David’s involvement with Crime Stoppers dates back to 1994, and over the years he has played a pivotal role in its growth and success. His contributions have been multifaceted, as he has held key positions within Crime Stoppers Tasmania, including Chair, Deputy Chair, and Committee Chair.
David has a long history of awards and accolades, including being the recipient of the Commonwealth Centenary Medal for work with the Community and Lions Clubs of Tasmania, and recipient of the Order of Australia through work with Lions and Crime Stoppers. In 2017, David’s exceptional commitment and service were internationally recognised when he was named Crime Stoppers International’s Civilian of the Year. This prestigious award acknowledged his selfless devotion, persistent service and the significant impact he has made in advancing the mission of Crime Stoppers. In 2021, David achieved 40 years as a Lion. To commemorate and recognise his years of service, David was presented with a Milestone Chevron Award.
David continues to be a driving force in the fight against crime, exemplifying leadership and dedication in his roles both locally and on the broader Australian stage.
Deputy Chair: Ralph Doedens
Ralph Doedens is an accomplished executive with a background in accounting, risk management, and organisational leadership, and over two decades of experience in the insurance and not-for-profit sectors. Known for his financial acumen and strategic insight, Ralph has led transformative initiatives within the industries he has been employed, ensuring regulatory compliance, improving profitability, and enhancing service quality.
Currently serving as an executive for an affordable housing project, Ralph oversees all facets of the project’s strategy, development, and community engagement, steering the initiative toward accessible, sustainable housing solutions. His role involves balancing financial viability with a strong social mandate, combining rigorous financial oversight with a commitment to quality and reputation-building.

Gina has over 19 years experience in federal government working across diverse legal and data programs. Prior to this Gina was a practising lawyer working in private and community legal sectors. She was appointed to the Tasmanian Legal Aid Commission Board and for more than 25 years, she has volunteered as Board member with not-for-profit organisations in Tasmania and contributed as speaker for a number of Commonwealth and International knowledge chapters on leadership and change, and privacy. Gina is proud to call Tasmania her home.
