What's in a good tip?
The best tips give us details of what you see or hear:
- names and addresses
- date and time
- colours – clothes, bags, hats
- vehicle – colour, rego, make and model, any distinctive features such as roof racks or damage
- physical characteristics – age, build, hair style/length/colour, facial hair, height, tattoos and piercings
- weapons or other items being carried
- language – accent, type of voice
- anything else you saw or heard
